HELLO TRAVELERS! THANKS FOR STOPPING BY. THIS WEEKS WRITTEN OIQ IS ALL ABOUT FOOD. I TOOK THIS PICURE MYSELF AT A RESTAURANT IN VENICE, ITALY. SADLY I DIDN’T GET TO EAT AT IT, BUT OH WELL IT WAS STILL QUITE MEMORABLE.
Anyways, here’s the Overactive Imagination Question(s) for this week.
- Who owns this restaurant?
- What’s its best/most known dish?
- Why do people dine there?
My answer is as followed:
This isn’t the usually place you go to eat, unless of course it’s to have a bite of The Great Gazoo, named after the Flinstones character because of it’s green bubbly appearance. Usually people are intimidated by the plate full of oozing soup, but after the first bite they’ll question ever slurping another bowl of anything again. With is blend of chives and mixed spices, The Great Gazoo is simply irresistible. And it warms your tummy!
But no. Soup was not why anyone was hear tonight. Sadly.
You see, this restaurant is both yes, a restaurant, but also a meeting place for creatures from any world. Ooglobs and Grinches and Jedi and Wizards, all come to break bread, and negotiate necessary politics. The upstairs is for wealthier travelers–the merchants, generals, noblemen and those of royal blood while the basement is for the life of the underworld, filled with gamblers, mercenaries and outlaws. And as you can imagine, the main floor, where the wine bar is also found, is for the middle class. There one can enjoy wines from all around the universe and soak in jokes from the best known person in the establishment.
Gorttet Gontrot. The owner. His white beard is like that of Santa’s, and his stories are ones that would surely rival the Present Maker’s. He has a light heart, talking and respecting each of the guest that come through his doors, even the basement doors. Not that anyone would ever try to harm him…with a reputation known by all, and all.
Hope you’ve enjoyed your visit to…. oh wait. What’s it called.
Hope you enjoyed this weeks OIQ! I nominate
