Overactive Imagination Question (7) – The Winding Road

It’s the seventh OIQ! (Overactive Imagination Question) The rules are simple, look at the pic and answer the question based on what YOU see!

  • Where does this road lead?

Here’s my answer!

Not many travel down this road, because not many dare to reach it’s final destination. Once you pass the open meadows and cattle covered fields, stide past the first seven streams and get out of the kindly placed, warm street lights–you’ll find yourself one step closer to Fortress of Masril Gammel. Him name being the only one known there, he oversees the dozens of deadly trained assassins never before seen by the world, unless, of course, you’re about to be killed by one of them. But don’t worry, you won’t just stumble across this road or wander too far down it without seeing the stake of heads, signs molded from the cloaks of fallen nobles and a plethora of other warning signs that you’re approaching a place no ones ever returned from. But so, be cautious of the roads you find yourself going down, because although the assassins are all the way at the other end, there’s only one road in and out of the Fortress, and they don’t take kindly to people traveling at the wrong hours–even if you’re just out to pet the cows.

What do you think? What do you see?

If you have a picture you want to be featured as and OIQ picture, then submit it! I’ll be doing a guest picture soon! ALSO. Keep your eyes pealed, an OIQ video series may be coming soon 😉

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on your fall TBR list

Top Ten Tuesday is a something hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, go and check them out! Today’s prompt is the top ten books on your fall reading list. And, to be honest, this list will be a little tough for me to actually complete. I can list books, but I’m a slow reader with very little free time so it takes me quite a while to complete a book! But I have no problem giving a crack at it!

10. Lost and Found

Oh my gosh this just looks adorable.

9. The Library at Mount Char

I’m not a big scary story type of guy, but this one just sounds intriguing. And, dat cover tho…

(also, wanna see something kinda weird/creepy for a scary book? Google image search the library at mount char.

….they’re all the same….ba-da-ba-da.)

8. The Savage Damsle and the Dwarf

I’m a HUGE Gerald Morris fan, and this one’s next up in the series!

7. The Singular and Extraordinary Tale of Mirror and Goliath

Do you see the title of that book? Need I say more?

6. Gracelings

It’s been out for a while, and with the series gaining more and more momentum with still at least one book to come out, I’d like to try and be apart of the craze before I miss it. Plus it sounds really good!

5. The Gracekeeper

Apparently the hard back cover is gorgeous and really creative and has these cool little waves all over it and that just sounds so alluring. As you can see, I really like covers.

4. The Watchmaker of Filigree Street

I’m not one for historical fiction, but based on the bio I get sence of a story that my feel slightly Hayao Miyazaki-ish. And if you know me, I’m a sucker for some Hayao Miyazaki.

3. The Night Circus

This book just sounds like it’s filled with an amazing incredible awesome magical story and I want to read it so badly.

2. The Peculiar

This is a book that I actually started but put on hold because of Throne of Glass. But it was getting pretty good and I’d like to pick it back up and to finish the journey I started. What got me hooked was that cover. Whoever said you can’t judge a book by it’s cover obviously never really saw amazing covers that just drew you in.

1. Crown of Midnight

I’m actually halfway through this book right now, and I’m determined to finish it! I really want to see what happens with Dorian…

What are yours??? What have you read and what did you like?

Pokemon Go

Okay, this came out a few days ago and I just didn’t have time to post on it then, but my excitement for it hasn’t tottered one ounce! I CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS.

I’ve wanted this for the past ten years. Not even kidding! LIKE NOT EVEN KIDDING I’M BEYOND EXCITED FOR THIS! I kid you not, I’ll probably drop out of life for a while become a pokemon trainer travel the world and catch them all and then be the very best start my own gym and take on the next generation.giphy

Guys this is gonna be so awesome! Imagine all the people you’ll encounter, all the stories you’ll make and places you’ll go and, AND, ALL THE POKEMON YOU’LL COME ACROSS.

I love traveling, but traveling just got like 10 billion times better! I’m going to exploded.

Here’s some other ideas I’ve shared on it that the tumblr community is seeming to enjoy, what do you think?

Pokemon go starter theories (hopes)

I really actually hope that we don’t get to pick one of the classic starters and that they’ll actually be hard to catch out in the wild. Because pokemon like charizard and blastiose are awesome and when everyone everywhere has them it kind of ruins their specialness. My hopes are that we’re given a bunch of pokeballs and can just go wing it out there and encounter our first pokemon. OR, there’s a big pool of potential first stage starters that we can choose from so that way there’s some uniqueness to things like hey look at my nidoran or my oddish or my kick ass zubat. (lol kickass zubat keep dreamin big that crobat will be well worth the misery.)

what pokemon go needs
– hire people to be gym leaders (and let there be a fee to challenge a gym so gym leaders make money and there’s an actual seriousness to it.)

what pokemon go needs
– I think the 100 lvl cap needs to be extended to like, 10,000. No joke. Like screw the idea of your pokemon ‘maxing out’ and not being able to get stronger. They should always be able to get stronger. BUT, in all honesty, I hate the level system in general. I like the idea of strategy and power combined, not just power. Like a level 20 should be able to take on a level 35 and not just get blown out of the water because of the level.

– In regards to training, I hope it’s advanced and your pokemon adapt to how you battle. Like they know your commands and when to dodge and whne to strike and how to strike.

—-Things like dodging, attack strength, endurance, and patterns should be incorporated into attacks.

—-And can we please please please finally have more than FOUR attacks?!?!

And wild battles should have a greater significance. Because you won’t be running into a wild pokemon every two seconds, wild battles can finally, actually, mean something. So the reward you gain from defeating a pokemonshould Mean something as well. Because running around battling pidgeys all day to get stronger sounds like I won’t have a Blastoise for a good ten years.

I’ve revamped my blog! Take a look and let me know what you think. I’ll be sure to stop by your blog too!

Lot’s of hard work and time was well spent today making some modifications. And, it didn’t feel taxing or exhausting doing it, like a lot of tedious things do. So I’m pretty happy about that and I just felt like sharing. The END. not really. I don’t know I need lunch.

OIQ – Through The Gorge

Continuing with my adventures in Europe pictures, I bring to you this weeks OIQ (Overactive Imagination Question)!

The rules are simple, just tell us what you see in the the picture based on the questions below. Be as creative as you like!

Through the Gorge

  • What’s at the end of this gorge?
  • Where is this gorge?
  • BONUS Q: What caused this gorge, why is it here?

As always, here is one of my answers!

At the other end of this gorge is a land unseen by many because it’s misunderstood by many. It’s not where the grass is always greener, it’s not where the water taste like magic, and it’s certainly not where humans and dinosaurs walk peacefully. But what is special about this land, is that it’s where you can just Be. It sounds simple, I know–even ridiculous maybe. But in this land you have have the ability to be and not worry about becoming. It’s where you can rest in whatever you’re doing, and go do whatever you’re dreams are. Wanna be adventurous and take on brave quests? You can do it. Wanna sit back and nap on a moss covered rock? Go for it. There’s no rush, no anxiousness, no hurry. So few find it because so few know it exists.

Oh and dragons, mythical portals, witches and magic potions also exist at the end of the gorge. It’s pretty cool.

  • Bonus Question: The gorge was created long ago when two powerful wizards had an epic duel to decide the fate of this other realm. They two wizards were so powerful that in a final attempt to defeat the other, they unleashed an unheard of amount of magic upon the other. The blasts collided, creating this sacred gorge that’s said the stones of the gorge are filled with elements of ancient magic. Theologist say that because of such magic, one is able to reach the forgotten realm.
